Investigation after a man's body is discovered in Co Monaghan house

A man's body has been discovered in a house in Co Monaghan yesterday evening.

Gardai were called to a property in Clones at around 10pm on Saturday, June 1, following reports that a man had died.

"Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery," The Irish Mirror, was told by a gardai spokesperson.

"The body was discovered at approximately 10pm at a residence at Clones, Monaghan.

"The body remains at the scene which is preserved for a technical examination which is due to take place this morning (Sunday).

"A postmortem examination will take place in due course, the results of which will determine the course of the Garda investigation."
