Investigation underway after pensioners receive letters from Conservative Party addressed to 'Mr F******joking
The Conservative party is reportedly investigating after it was claimed that expletive-filled letters asking for donations were sent to constituents in Theresa May’s name.
The letter, which has Prime Minister’s name at the top, asked for money for the party’s “Campaign Managers Fund” ahead of May’s local elections.
But rather than being addressed to the pensioners who received it, it was addressed to “Mr Youmustbe F***ingjoking” and began “Dear Mr F******joking”.

Photographs of the letter were tweeted by Laura McCormack who wrote: Trying to argue they can run the country when they can’t even work mailmerge. My elderly neighbours were more than a little upset to be addressed in this manner by the PM.”
She then added a picture of the donation form that came with the letter, saying: “To add insult to injury the Conservatives had the cheek to ask for cash!”

Several people asked if the letter wasn’t just a malicious prank, but Ms McCormack reportedly said the letter had come in an envelope alongside other Tory leaflets, in an official Tory party envelope.
She tweeted that the elderly people who had received the letter weren’t members of the party and had no idea why they had been contacted.
A Conservative Party spokesman told the Mirror: “It is unacceptable that this letter was sent out and we apologise for any offence caused. We are currently investigating this matter to ensure it does not happen again.”
