Iraqi Efforts to Put Out Mishraq Sulphur Plants Fires in South Mosul

The Iraqi government worked to put out fires at an oil field and a sulphur plant in Mishraq district in south Mosul on October 23, the Iraqi minister of construction said.

Islamic State militia set fire to the sulphur plants in Mishraq before being defeated. Iraqi media sources said more than 100 people were suffocated due to sulfur emissions in south Mosul.
