New Irish bar Katie O'Brien's announces location and opening date in Nottingham

New Irish bar Katie O'Brien's has announced when it will be opening in Nottingham with a taste of the black stuff, live music, sports and plenty of craic. The city will be the fifth location for the brand, which also has bars in Sheffield, Newcastle, Durham and Leicester.

Work is currently in full swing to create the new tavern in the former home of Pieminister and Long Row Social in Long Row. It will be transformed to make drinkers feel like they're in the famous Temple Bar strip in Dublin.

Opening date will be Thursday, June 27. Booking is not necessary. They announced on Instagram: "We're so excited to open our doors to you for a pint of the good stuff."
