Is Nick Grimshaw’s X Factor Stint Nearly Over?

Poor old Grimmers – he’s not had the best time of it on The X Factor this year, has he?

After receiving lacklustre reviews for his tenure on the judging panel, show bosses are now said to be considering whether or not he should return for next year’s show.

It comes after a survey commissioned by The Sun showed that only 11% of us thought he was the best judge, whilst a whopping 44% thought he shouldn’t even bother back next year.

Bit harsh, folks!

Anyway, speaking to those boys and gals at The Sun, a source close to the show said that despite Grimmy’s commitment to and love of the role, it might not be enough - "It feels like the writing has been on the wall for him. He has got better, but it’s too little too late.“

The comforting bosom of showbiz, ladies and gents.

Louis Walsh, who exited the show after 11 years as a judge this year is hotly-tipped for a return – with 43% agreeing that the axed judge should retake his place on the panel.

Not only that but bookmakers Ladbrokes have also said that Tony Hadley – yes, TONY FRIGGIN’ HADLEY – of I’m A Celeb, Spandau Ballet, as well as ‘Reborn In The USA’ fame could also be in with a shot of joining the show next year.

Frankly, we’ll believe that when we see it.

Tony’s currently 10/1 favourite to join, with former Take That singer Robbie Williams close behind at 12/1.

But it’s not just Nick who’s been getting bad reviews this year- 63% said they thought former presenter Dermot O’Leary was a better host than Olly Murs and Caroline Flack, who were the choice of just 12%.

Well, that Monica Michael faux pas was just a BIT of a disaster, wasn’t it?

Anyway, let’s stop speculating on this shall we? At this rate, Anne Widdecombe and Ban-Ki Moon could be heading up the X Factor panel next year, the way things are heading.
