Is This An Alien Ship Watching One of NASA's First Manned Missions?

When Man was taking his first, faltering steps into space, were hi-tech aliens watching, silently?

That’s what one conspiracy theorist believes - after he spotted what he claims is an extraterrestrial spaceship in a 55-year-old NASA photograph.

Scott Waring - behind the site UFO Sightings Daily - says that the eerie interstellar visitor is skulking in the background in photos from NASA’s Mercury Project, America’s first mission to put human beings in space.

'It's actually the Earth in the background and the UFO is in space observing the Mercury capsule,' Waring said

'Why wouldn't aliens be interested in watching a historical moment?’

'Especially since the capsule was unmanned, there were no worries that they would be seen.'

It all sounds so reasonable… however, it should be noted that UFO enthusiasts quite often spot lurking spacecraft in old NASA shots.

Somehow, they always turn out to be something mundane, such as dust on the camera lens, rather than invaders from beyond the stars.
