Islamic State Reenters Ancient Town of Palmyra

Syrian activists reported that Islamic State fighters reentered the ancient town of Palmyra on December 10, after the militant group launched an offensive earlier this week.

Heavy fighting was reported at Jabal at Tar, on the northern outskirts of Palmyra, throughout the day. IS-affiliated Amaq News published this footage described as showing fighting in the area.
