THE founders of Electro Love, a must-go location for many Isle of Wight Festival goers, have told how their relationship with Island businesses has helped them to success – and hinted at future plans.

Damian Walshe and Airon Baker, founders of Electro Love, describe their business as a ‘passion project’, but acknowledge that it would not be sustainable if it was making losses.

Generating a profit in their first year at the Isle of Wight Festival gave them the confidence to come back – and to keep coming back, bigger and better every year.

Damian and Airon identified that building a relationship with Island suppliers was a key part of growing Electro Love.

They said: “We source everything on the Island, from people to props.

“It’s important to us to put money back into the Island – plus, keeping things local has benefits for our business, too.”

While they have been running events for many years and are proud to have brought Electro Love home to the Isle of Wight, the success the business has seen working with Island suppliers has set the pair's sight on mainstream festivals – right across the UK.

Damian and Airon said: “We’re just going to continue to think outside the box.

“So, when people walk in, they think, ‘Oh my God, what have these crazy monkeys done this time?’.”
