An alleged drink-driver was arrested after crashing his car into the River Thames.
Images show the car precariously placed with its bonnet in the water while the rest of vehicle seemingly hangs precariously over the edge of the riverside.
The incident happened in Isleworth, west London, on Saturday afternoon, and police, paramedics and firefighters all rushed to the scene.
The man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and taken into custody, police said.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: “The incident happened in Church Street Isleworth just after 4.15pm.
“We were called to reports of a vehicle in the river after reports of the vehicle hitting the kerb and loosing control.
“London Fire and the London Ambulance Service were in attendance.
“A man was arrested for drink drive and taken to a west London police station.”
It is not believed anyone was hurt in the incident.
