Sheridan Smith will star in an instalment of ITV's new Isolation Stories, a series consisting of four standalone dramas commissioned by the broadcaster in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Other stars set to feature in the 15 minute dramas depicting tales from lockdown include Robert Glenister, Tom Glenister, Darren Boyd, Angela Griffin, David Threlfall, Eddie Marsan and his sons Blue and Bodie.

It's a family affair for some of the features as Robert Glenister stars alongside son Tom for episode 'Ron and Russell' while Eddie Marsan will be joined by his sons Blue and Bodie for 'Karen'.

ITV have shared the four dramas will be filmed observing the "strict rules" of lockdown as the families film the scenes themselves as directors watch and deliver direction remotely from their mobile phones.

The dramas are being produced by Matthew Bird, Ken Horn, Menzies Kennedy and Tom Dunbar as Jeff Pope serves as executive producer.
