Israeli Ambassador Met With Protest During LSE Appearance

A protest took place outside the London School of Economics during a visit by Israel’s ambassador to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely, on Tuesday, November 9.

Hotovely was attending a Q&A session with the LSE SU Debate Society entitled: “Israel’s Perspective: A New Era in the Middle East”.

The society was also set to host Husam Zomlot, the Palestine ambassador, on November 11, for an event titled “Palestine’s Perspective: A New Era in the Middle East”.

Footage posted on Twitter by Reem Ibrahim shows the crowd gathered outside LSE during the event on Tuesday.

Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi tweeted the same evening that he found footage showing Hotovely being ushered from the venue as the police held protesters back “deeply disturbing”.
