Israeli Container Ship Draws Protesters to Sydney Port

Demonstrators gathered at Port Botany outside Sydney on November 21 to demonstrate against the docking there of an Israeli-operated container ship

The protest was organized by the Palestine Justice Movement Sydney (PJMS), against the presence of the ZIM-operated Calandra, which was due to leave port again on November 22.

The ZIM shipping company said on October 8, in the wake of the Hamas attack, that “its first priority will be to allocate the needed resources to aid Israel in this hard and difficult situation.” Credit: @SabeenGWSLFP via Storyful
