Update issued on Switch Island crash after man hit by Audi

Police have issued an update after a man on a bike was hit by a car on Switch Island.

Officers were called to the scene at around 6.20pm last night (June 1) after it was reported that a male cyclist had been involved in a serious crash with a black Audi on Dunnings Bridge Road, near its junction with Broom’s Cross Road.

Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital. Police have since confirmed that the man remains in hospital with a serious leg injury.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene.
