Italian Coast Guard Rescues Migrants From Overcrowded Boats

Another 2,500 migrants were rescued in the Mediterranean so far this week, according to figures released on Friday, February 24, by Doctors Without Borders.

On Wednesday alone, some 730 migrants, most of them from sub-Saharan Africa, were reportedly rescued off the Libyan coast.
