Italian Fire Team Surveys Beirut Explosion Site

A team from the Italian fire service continued their work in Beirut, Lebanon, on August 9, assisting local authorities in the wake of a devastating blast that killed at least 154 people and injured thousands more on August 4.

According to the fire service, they were working to “combat the chemical risk” following the explosion, taking air and sea water quality samples.
