Italian Truck Drivers Protest Against COVID Green Pass
Truck drivers attempted to bring traffic to a standstill across Italy on September 27 to protest a government requirement for them to prove their COVID-19 vaccination status.
From next month onwards, all workers who fail to provide a valid Digital Green Certificate will be subject to a fine, according to Italian legislation.
According to La Stampa, who cited traffic authorities, the protest did not cause significant, widespread disruption.
The demonstrations were intended to disrupt traffic for the entire week.
