Viewers of The 1% Club were left scratching their heads on Saturday night when they recognised a familiar face among the contestants. Yinrun Huang, a finalist from Big Brother UK, appeared on the ITV quiz show on May 25, causing some confusion among fans.

During the episode, host Lee Mack questioned Yinrun about her self-doubt, to which she responded, "I'm so nervous because this is my first time on a television show," This statement puzzled viewers who remembered her from the Big Brother final in November last year.

Fans quickly took to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their bewilderment. One user commented: "Yinrun off Big Brother saying she's not been on telly before? ? ? ? Does she not recall being on BBUK? ? " Another added: "What's up with #Yinrun from #BigBrotherUK saying she's not been on TV before #the1percentclub."

However, Yinrun had already cleared up the confusion on Instagram before The 1% Club aired, explaining that the quiz show was actually filmed early in 2023, well before her appearance on Big Brother. She shared photos from the studio with her 170k followers, excitedly announcing, "I'm on the 1% Club Tonight! ! ".

"This was filmed at the start of 2023 so I've had to keep my participation a secret for so long! But it's finally here and I can't wait to watch it back! ! (This is one of my favourite series). Thanks to the show for having me as a player, I had the best time and lots of laughs, plus Lee Mack is so charming.", reports Wales Online.

The official social media account for The 1% Club also shared the news, posting: "This Saturday will be the last episode of this current series. The episode was filmed quite a while ago. Anyone recognise one of the contestants playing here before she made her other TV appearance? We absolutely loved having her on the show - she was great fun! ".

Unfortunately, Yinrun didn't progress far in the show after answering the second question incorrectly. One fan wrote: "Yinrun's had a howler there," while another said: "Gutted for Yinrun," and a third remarked: "So I tuned in late and apparently missed Yinrun so that'll teach me."
