ITV The 1% Club's tricky final question that caused heartbreak for contestant - can you answer it?
The 1% Club was back for a highly anticipated new series - and left viewers baffled with the latest final question. The popular quiz show, hosted by Lee Mack, sees 100 contestants vying to win a potential £100,000 prize pot.
But it's never easy, as the logic based questions get trickier each round. The ITV show starts off with a question 90% of the British public answered correctly when the show conducted its survey.
Those who make it all the way to the final question are faced with a tricky puzzle that only 1% could get right. On the first episode of the new series, just three players managed to make it all the way to the end.

They could choose to take home a share of £10,000, or answer the final question for a chance to win a share of £96,000. All decided to play on for the big money.
The 1% question
They were faced with the tricky question: Answer the puzzle below.
How many dots (i.e.".") - including any used in punctuation and letters - are used in writing this question?
But can you answer it? Remember that players on the show only get 30 seconds to figure it out.
But you can take as long as you need, just don't scroll down as the answer will be revealed below.
The answer
Host Lee Mack revealed the answer was: 17
Two players got it right, meaning they took home a whopping £48,000 while the third player looked gutted to have been one away from the right answer.
While a lot of people playing along at home were left stumped, many thought it was one of the easier final questions on the show.
One wrote: "What kind of simple question was that for the 1% question? Anybody who could count could get that! #The1PercentClub."
"1% question felt oddly easy," a second said and a third commented: "That was an easy question .. how did 99% get it wrong?"

The 1% Club will be back for its second show next Saturday night on ITV1.
