Viewers tuning into the final of Britain's Got Talent have all shared the same complaint over the judges' wildcard decision. The grand finale of the ITV talent contest kicked off on Sunday (June 2) with 10 acts having made it through to the last round of the competition.

Earlier this week, the contestants took to the stage for the live semi-finals with two acts being chosen to proceed to the final each night after winning over both the judges and the public. There is a huge variety of acts in with a shot of taking the BGT title, from dancers, singers and comedians to a Taekwondo troupe.

Now the 10 finalists are appearing in front of judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli for the last time in a bid to win a coveted slot at the Royal Variety Performance - a £250,000 prize.

But as the show kicked off, hosts Ant and Dec talked viewers through each of the finalists - and also announced there would be a surprise wildcard. It was then revealed that dog act The Trickstars, made up of trainer Lucy Heath and her talented pooches, had been picked by the judges as a last-minute additional to the final.

The Trickstars were beaten by taekwondo troupe Ssaulabi in the vote-off last Monday, but Simon said that it was a unanimous decision to bring them back. Speaking about the judges' wildcard decision, Simon told Ant and Dec: "The conversation lasted about 20 seconds, we all said the same act."

The Trickstars were the second act to perform in the final, and ahead of their performance, Lucy said: "Getting the call to be a wildcard was a dream come true. When we were sent home I was absolutely gutted but when the judges brought us back that just changed everything."

But it isn't the first time that Lucy has made the final as a wildcard. In Series 10, Lucy auditioned with Trip Hazard and the pair ultimately reached the final after being chosen as a wildcard.

And fans weren't happy with this, as they took to X as the judges' decision was announced to demand that this should not be allowed. @RyanTheSoapking wrote: "The fact that she's been a wildcard TWICE makes it even more unfair #BGT," as @SheilaH79542244 said: "Another year she’s in final, and another year she’s not going to win. What a waste of a wildcard #BGT."

@CommonThimas31 also said: "What a waste of a wildcard. #BGT #BritainsGotTalent #bgtfinal," as @@TheKrisRichens typed: "Second time wildcard… Took the place of someone who has never tried out before."

Another disappointed fan @Arlene_HWycombe said: "I'm outraged that the bloody dog act is the wildcard there were so many better performances & choices they could've made #BritainsGotTalent #BGT."

However, some fans were pleased to see The Trickstars return, as @truereddevil99 wrote: "Tricksters absolutely amazing so glad they got the wildcard they deserved it. They could win this I don’t care."

@neddthomas said: "I wasn’t sure personally about The Trickstars being the wildcard but fair play, that was brilliant! #BGT," and @ThomasVanElkan agreed: "I wasn’t even a fan of them as a wildcard but that was their best performance yet #BritainsGotTalent."
