Amanda Holden has hit back at critics during the Britain's Got Talent live final. On Sunday night (June 2), 10 acts and a wildcard performed in the grand finale of the ITV talent contest in the hopes of winning £250k and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

After weeks of auditions and a run of live semi-finals, viewers have been entertained by comedians, magicians, singers and dancers as well as the judges' quips and of course, the commentary by co-hosts Ant and Dec.

But despite the positivity on screen, there has been some backlash of the contest this year, with some critics accusing the show of having less acts from Britain making the final, such as Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, Haribow and Abigail and Afronitaaa.

Taking a stance, Amanda addressed the criticism after the young dance duo from Ghana performed, having won the public vote in Thursday night's semi-final sending them straight through to the live final.

Amanda told them: "Thank you so much for coming all this way. This is a global show and we welcome everybody on it." Ant and Dec also backed Amanda, adding: "Can I just say from everyone here at Britain's Got Talent. Thank you for coming on our show and auditioning for us. We've loved it."

Amanda has also been subject to criticism tonight with her choice of bold outfit. Taking to X, one viewer @EllieRiley_11 wrote: "Considering it’s a family show…Amanda Holden wears the most inappropriate outfits!!! #BGT," as @OrJacinta asked: "Does Amanda really need to expose herself to this extent? Dislike her outfit anyway."

@Patrici26413147 also agreed: "Amanda Holden outfit looks terrible, she is half naked. She should dress proper as it's a family entertainment show. Looks for attention and notice," as another fan asked: "Wonder how many complaints there will be about Amanda's dress tonight? #BGT."

In 2020, the show received 235 Ofcom complaints when Amanda wore a navy dress with a low neckline which was criticised for being too revealing, reports The Mirror.

In 2017, she also wore a Julien MacDonald dress in 2017 with another risky neckline which resulted in 663 Ofcom complaints. But Amanda has previously addressed the criticism she receives over her revealing outfits saying: "It's nothing, people have too much time on their hands."
