ITV Coronation Street Betsy's downfall 'sealed' after mistake as fan favourite rushed to hospital
Coronation Street fans are convinced they've rumbled Betsy Swain's downfall following Monday's explosive episode.
During the latest instalment, Betsy, played by Sydney Martin, told Mason Radcliffe, played by Luca Toolan, that he didn't have to worry about his troublesome brothers anymore as she had struck a deal with them.
It was soon revealed that Betsy planned for the brothers to rob the Underworld factory as long as they would leave Mason alone afterwards.
Betsy confirmed that the factory was empty due to a team bonding day, explaining that she would let them into the building to turn it over.

However, in true soap style, the burglary didn't go to plan as Carla Connor, played by Alison King, returned to the factory early after DS Lisa Swain, played by Vicky Myers, admitted she wasn't ready for a relationship.
Returning to the factory, Carla was horrified to find the place ransacked but as she attempted to call the police she was struck over the head by Mason's brothers and fell to the ground.
Meanwhile, Betsy assured Mason that everything has gone to plan and he won't be bothered by his brothers anymore. However, they were soon horrified to see Carla, who had thankfully regained consciousness, talking to the police and revealing she was hit over the head.
And things went from bad to worse when Logan and Matty met up with Betsy, warning that if they go down, they will take her with them.
Following her meeting with the police, Carla decided to clean up the factory but she was soon overcome with pain and collapsed to the floor unconscious.
At the same time, Betsy snuck into the factory to drop off the spare keys, where she found an unconscious Carla on the floor and called an ambulance.
Betsy soon broke down in tears to her mum, DS Swain, and told her about Carla's hospital dash to which the two rushed over, where they learnt she has suffered a bleed on the brain and requires emergency surgery.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to point out Betsy's downfall. One person said: "I have a feeling that sallys gonna be the one to clock on that betsy had something to do with the break in seen as we had the cafe scene and then the look on her face when carla was getting taken away in the ambulance #corrie" to which a different account added: "Plus Betsy was not at the team building day!"
