ITV Coronation Street star Cait Fitton shares 'struggle' as she declares love for co-star
Coronation Street's Cait Fitton issued a heartfelt tribute to her co-star twins as they celebrated their 18th birthday. The soap star is renowned for her role as Lauren Bolton on the Cobbles.
The 22-year-old has established herself as a major character on the ITV soap since she joined the show in 2022. Lauren was heavily involved in the long-running Joel Deering saga and ended the villain's reign of terror when she killed him in a dramatic episode last year.
However, Lauren's troubles have continued in the show as she is currently standing trial for Joel's murder. Away from the screen, Cait's life is fortunately much less dramatic and she regularly shares updates from her exciting life in showbiz on Instagram.

She has taken to the social media platform today to mark a special day as co-star, Liam McCheyne, has celebrated his 18th birthday. The star is renowned for his role as Dylan Wilson Jr on the show.
He previously shared the role with his twin brother, Connor McCheyne, who has since quit the soap to pursue a career as a cricketer. Cait enjoys a close friendship with both twins and shared a collage with the two to mark their milestone birthday as she thanked them for always being able to cheer her up.
She said: "Happy 18th to my favourite twinnies. Thank you for putting a smile on my face everyday , picking me up on days when I struggle to find my smile, supporting me through my achievements and failures .
"But most of all thank you for just being unapologetically you! Cheers to our friendship , your futures and the exciting adventures ahead and to YOU! Love you lots, always."
Cait wasn't the only Corrie star to wish the twins well on their special day. Antony Cotton, who plays onscreen dad, Sean Tully, said: "Happy Birthday @liammccheyne and @connormccheyne. Very proud of you both. See you very soon!"
Tony Maudsley, who plays George Shuttleworth, said: "For the first time in 5 years, this little rascal can legally buy me a pint!! Happy 18th birthday."
Liam took to the comments and added: "Thank you Tony! Never in those 5 years have you failed to make me laugh." Liam first arrived on the Cobbles with his twin brother as Dylan Wilson in 2011.
However, their initial stint was short lived as Sean Tully's son exited Weatherfield with mum, Violet, for a decade before he made Liam made a permanent return in the role in 2022.
