ITV Coronation Street fans 'work out' who kills Alina as death 'sealed' - and it's not Fiz

Coronation Street enthusiasts are speculating that Alina Pop, played by Ruxandra Porojnicu, might meet a tragic end in an unexpected plot twist, with a surprising resident being the perpetrator. Alina made her dramatic return to the soap this week, having first graced the cobbles in 2019 and enjoyed two stints on the long-standing programme.

During her second appearance in 2020, she caused a rift between Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his long-term partner Fiz (Jennie Mcalpine). The chemistry was instant between Alina and Tyrone, leading him to make the tough choice to end his nine-year relationship with Fiz. However, when Alina fell pregnant, Tyrone's pyromaniac daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan) was far from thrilled about her father's new love interest.

Determined to break them up, Hope started a fire in the flat which tragically resulted in Alina losing her baby, reports the Express.

Alina eventually departed the cobbles, and despite initially telling Tyrone she was pregnant, she later informed him she wasn't - claiming she had muddled up the dates. But in her final scene, viewers saw her at the airport departure lounge, tenderly touching her growing baby bump.

Fast forward three years, and Alina is back. Tyrone was taken aback when he discovered her return and managed to find her, where she revealed that he was the father of her son.

However, fans now worry that Alina could be written out of the soap in a heart-wrenching twist - and they believe they know exactly who will be responsible for the murder.

Fans of the show took to social media to share their theories, as one viewer speculated on X, saying: "So that's Alina probably dead by xmas and Tyrone and Fizz raising the kid."

Another added their thoughts with: "Now that Alina is back with a kid, she's got a 90% chance of being dead by the end of the year. #corrie."

Meanwhile, the speculation continued on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page where one commenter pondered: "I've seen people say that Alina could die later in the year, how do you think they will kill her off?" This prompted a reply from another who suggested: "Hope definitely! Tyrone's new son is going to send her over the edge."

Another chimed in with their prediction: "I think she will get killed, so Tyrone and Fizz has Dorin, as she has no family and is on her own. Maybe Hope will have something to do with it."
