Coronation Street fans were left distracted on Monday night during Lauren Bolton's court case.

During the latest episode, Lauren was in court as part of the trial for the murder of Joel Deering. The evil character was found dead back in October following a disappearance and it was soon revealed that Lauren was the killer after a whodunnit as she hit Joel's head with a rock in order to save Max Turner's life.

On Monday night, Lauren was seen spending quality time with her baby son Frankie before the trial to which she was left concerned as he didn't seem himself.

This prompted a nursery nurse to reassure Lauren, promising to take care of her son and that they would take good care of him as they got him checked out by medics.

Later during the episode, Lauren learnt that Frankie was not well and in hospital while she was in court. Upset that she was stuck in court and couldn't go to her son, Lauren told the prosecution barrister during Max's cross examination that she was glad Joel is dead.

Later at the hospital, Lauren informed Max that Frankie's fighting an infection. Certain she's going to prison, Lauren regretted losing her temper in court and told Max that she doesn't care about the trial and the only thing that matters is Frankie getting better.

However, during the scenes, viewers were left distracted as they instantly recognised the nursery nurse, who is played by Suzanne Collins.

Suzanne, 46, is best known for playing Nikki Shadwick on Brookside from 1998 to 2003. Since then, Suzanne has appeared on The Bill, Moving On, Clink and Out Of Time.
