ITV Coronation Street fans 'love it' as David Platt star shares update with 'me and Baby'

Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd thrilled fans as he shared details of his new purchase. The soap star is renowned for his role as David Platt on the Cobbles.

The actor first joined the cast in 2000 and has since become one of Weatherfield's most famous figures. Jack's importance to the soap is showing no signs of waning as he is currently involved in Gail Platt's exit storyline.

Jack's onscreen mum is played by Helen Worth, who is set to leave the soap in emotional scenes at the end of the year. Away from the soap, Jack's life is fortunately far less dramatic.

He is currently engaged to Hanni Treweek and the couple regularly shares updates from their happy life on Instagram. The two are proud owners of pet dog, Baby, and Jack has taken to social media to share an adorable update.

He posted a snap holding his pet dog with his 436,000 Instagram followers while sporting a new jumper emblazoned with his four legged friend. The actor captioned the post: "Me and Baby are very happy with our purchase."

Hanni took to the comments and issued a heartfelt tribute after the snap. She said: "I love you so much." Other fans also took to the comments to swoon after the update.

Claire said: "Love this Baby is so cute sorry Jack" Sharon added: "Aww who’s the cutest?" Heather commented: "Love it" Sydney posted: "Awww so cute Jack"

Jack and Hanni thrilled fans as they announced their engagement. Jack popped the question on a luxury trip to Zanzibar as he they shared a joint post on Instagram to confirm the happy news.

The couple met behind the scenes on the show before they started dating in 2017 and Jack described her as his "soulmate". He told OK!: "We met at Corrie but we only really knew each other to say hello to at work. Then our mutual friends got married and we were both guests at the wedding.

"We got chatting. I made Hanni laugh. We had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it." Jack was previously in a relationship with his childhood sweetheart, Lauren Shippey, who he shares two children with named Reuben and Nyla.
