Coronation Street is lining up explosive drama next week on the hit ITV soap.

In upcoming scenes, one resident will make a shock admission while another cobbles icon is rushed to hospital.

Elsewhere, a romance in teased between two Weatherfield favourites while another character is put in danger. Here's the four biggest spoilers on Coronation Street next week...

Shock admission

Next week sees Dee-Dee Bailey, played by Channique Sterling-Brown, wake up from a nightmare following her harrowing Joel Deering experience.

Later, as she meets with a new client, Dee-Dee hurries out before suffering a meltdown. Sensing she's upset, police officer Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, calms her down before she confides some shocking news in Sarah Platt, played by Tina O'Brien. What has she revealed?

Hospital dash

Ken Barlow, played by William Roache, returns from his holiday and tells his family that having looked at his finances, he’s going to have to let carer Cassie Plummer, played by Claire Sweeney, go. The family, who have been suspicious of Cassie's motives, are relieved and Ken gently tells her that he no longer requires her services.

Later in the week, Ken has a change of heart when he suddenly feels unwell and he tells Cassie he'll pay her an extra pound an hour if she'll accept her job back.

Supported by her family, Ken's protective daughter, Tracy Barlow, played by Kate Ford, orders Cassie to sling her hook and stop sponging off Ken, insisting she will instead look after her dad. However, things soon take a worrying turn when Ken suffers a nosebleed and admits he feels awful as he's rushed to hospital.

It remains to be seen if Ken is okay but spoilers later in the week see Steve McDonald, played by Simon Gregson, spell out to Cassie that she's sacked.

Romance 'sealed'

Next week sees DS Lisa Swain, played by Vicky Myers, upset as she forgets her late wife Becky's birthday and has to be reminded by their daughter, Betsy.

After being encouraged to go for it, Carla returns home to find Lisa getting dressed. Will she make her move?

Devastated about forgetting such a big milestone, Carla Connor, played by Alison King, finds Lisa drowning her sorrows in the pub as she offers her company.

The next day, Lisa wakes up on Carla’s sofa with a hangover to which Carla admits to nephew Ryan Connor that she has feelings for Lisa but she’s out of her depth. After being encouraged to go for it, Carla returns home to find Lisa getting dressed. Will she make her move?

Character in danger

Next week sees Mason Radcliffe's, played by Luca Toolan, thuggish brothers released without charge following their robbery on Tim and Sally Metcalfe.

Betsy advises Mason to lie and tell his evil brothers that it was Tim who grassed them up to the police. After bonding, Betsy flirts with Mason but the mood is broken when Matty pulls up in his car.

Later in the week, Sally and Tim find the word 'grass' sprayed across their front door and Tim assures Sally that he's reported Mason's brothers to the police. Yet things take a scary turn when Mason and Betsy spot Logan getting into Tim’s cab as they warn Eileen Grimshaw that he's in danger.

It's not long until Logan orders Tim to park up, where Matty climbs in, making it clear they’re going to teach him a lesson. Will Tim be okay?
