Coronation Street's Jack Webster, played by Kyran Bowes, has grown up on the cobbles and is no longer the little boy that viewers fell in love with. Fans will remember Jack as a young child, but he's changed significantly since then. Jack is the offspring of Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and Molly (Vicky Binns), who had an affair while Kevin was married to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor).

At the time, Molly was also involved with Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). Molly gave birth to Jack in 2010, but tragically lost her life on the cobbles that same year after she and her son were trapped in a shop during the street's horrific tram crash. Tyrone initially believed Jack was his son.

The truth eventually came out, and Jack now lives with Kevin and Abi Franklin (Sally Carman). Over the years, Jack has been at the centre of several major storylines, including abduction and a recent shock arrest, reports the Mirror.

In 2018, Jack was involved in a heart-wrenching storyline where he developed sepsis and had to have part of his leg amputated. In reality, actor Kyran didn't have to undergo an amputation. The soap used Hollywood-style green-screen technology to digitally erase Jack's lower leg using a special sock.

The character of Jack has seen several actors take on the role through the years. The current star, Kyran Bowes, stepped into the shoes of Jack in 2016, succeeding twins Maddox and Jaxon Beswick. Kyran is barely recognisable these days compared to when he first appeared on the cobbles.

Kyran opened up about his break from the show in August 2023 to put his full energy into his GCSEs. At the time, he shared: "Hey all. Sorry for the absence. I took some time away to concentrate on my studies."

"Happy to say I'm back and even happier to say I passed my GCSES. Hard work and perseverance really does pay off. Now it's time to celebrate."

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
