ITV Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher says 'everything makes sense now' as she shares health diagnosis

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher said a recent diagnosis made "everything makes sense". The actress, who plays Nina Lucas in the ITV soap, said she'd suspected she had the condition "for years".

The 26-year-old revealed she had ADHD - and said she was "happy" to "finally" have confirmation. She shared the health update with fans on Instagram as she reposted a clip from the ADHD Chatter Podcast's episode with author Kat Brown.

Alongside the video, which saw the journalist discuss the condition, which affects people's behaviour, Mollie wrote: “I’ve just recently been diagnosed after knowing for years and I’m just finally happy that everything makes sense now.”

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder symptoms can often go unnoticed, as some were less obvious than others, the Mirror reports. The NHS website lists common symptoms as extreme restlessness, impulsiveness, and difficulty focusing or prioritising tasks.

The soap star isn't the first celeb to share their ADHD diagnosis, other famous faces who have been diagnosed with the condition include I'm A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson and Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha.
