ITV Coronation Street's Rowan Cunliffe exit 'sealed' as fans predict soap icon's revenge

Coronation Street fans are predicting that Rowan Cunliffe, portrayed by Emrhys Cooper, is on his way out of Weatherfield as Tracy Barlow, played by Kate Ford, is tipped to expose The Institute. The self-help 'cult' leader has been attempting to extract money from Amy Barlow, played by Elle Mulvaney, promising her a profitable investment in a new resource centre.

The group has already ensnared Leanne Battersby, played by Jane Danson, causing friction with her partner Nick Tilsley, portrayed by Ben Price. In the episode aired on August 23, Rowan persuaded Amy to leave her job at the bistro, much to Nick's annoyance.

Rowan craftily suggested to Amy that she could make a substantial amount of money by investing in The Institute instead of working in a restaurant. Amy had previously considered using the inheritance she received from her grandmother Deidre Barlow, played by Anne Kirkbride, for this purpose.

Luckily, her friend Aadi Alahan, played by Adam Hussain, convinced her not to risk all her savings and to question Rowan more about how she would get her investment back along with any potential profit. Despite Aadi's cautionary advice, Amy continued to trust Leanne's judgement.

However, upcoming scenes show Rowan persisting with his scheme to take Amy's money. In episodes airing next week, Leanne confronts Rowan who tells her that Amy is undergoing an 'upload' and is also reconsidering investing in the resource centre, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Rowan pushes Leanne to persuade her other half, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), to follow suit. When it's Amy's turn to share, Leanne encourages her to confront previous traumas thereby shedding the negativity.

But as Amy confesses her issues, a shocked Leanne realises that Rowan is capturing everything on film. Amy plans to speak with Ken Barlow (William Roache) about freeing up her inheritance for investment purposes, yet she finds Ken less than enthusiastic about the notion.

As the week progresses, The Institute oversteps boundaries with Amy, triggering the wrath of her fierce mother Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford). Corrie fans are now predicting that Tracy will be the one to reveal Rowan's 'true' colours, triggering his swift departure from the show.

One viewer speculated on social media: "Tracy's gonna upload her boot up Rowan's a*** and kick him out of the street #Corrie."

Another fan can hardly wait for the showdown, remarking: "Cannot wait for the Tracy v Rowan battle. Tracy will tear him to shreds. #corrie", whilst another anticipates: "Tracy is gonna destroy Rowan. She's dealt with much worse than him. And killed them #Corrie."
