Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver has vented her frustration on social media after facing a surprising disappointment while vacationing in sun-soaked locations. The renowned actress, recognised for her role on the ITV soap as Eileen Grimshaw, recently pursued her "dream" role as Mother Superior in the stage rendition of Sister Act: The Musical.

During her former appearance on ITV's Lorraine in March, she discussed her future plans for Coronation Street. In reply to queries about her return to the famous cobbles, she affirmed: "Yes absolutely. I have a few months grace to do this job then I'll be back in there."

Though having wrapped up the musical recently, Sue doesn't seem to be filming at present and has been delighting fans with stunning photos from her getaway trip.

Yet, amid the tranquil surround, she took to Instagram to share an unexpected predicament. Capturing herself standing in the water, she lamented: "You know sometimes I think the sea likes to show us who's in charge, but it's certainly not us. Because it's just swallowed my flip flops."

Pointing towards where they may have drifted, Sue conceded: "They're out there somewhere", barring a heavy sigh to conclude her video clip, reports the Liverpool Echo.
