The actor regularly keeps fans updated with her life on Instagram and has taken to the social media platform to reveal she has enjoyed a bit of retail therapy after a "tough week." She shared snaps of herself wearing a new outfit with her 304,000 followers.

She said: "It’s versatile. Wasn’t sure at first. But think I like. Had bit of a tough week. Perception is everything. Sometimes banging out some nice clothes can help you shift. And beautiful chats with wise and wonderful women."

Charlie has recently went public with her new boyfriend, James Fuller, who hailed his partner in the comments. James said: "You are inspiring to so many @charlie_brooks_xx as a style icon and a strong role model. Not a bad skater either! Proud of you. Keep it in the day."

Ahead of competing on the show, Charlie said she was nervous about taking on the Dancing On Ice challenge. She said: "I'm very nervous but keen to get going. We've got a lift in there which, when I first saw it, I was like, 'There is no way that's gonna happen', but we're now doing it which is surprising and brilliant.

"It's a fast, really fun song, and we're straight out of the gate with high energy. There's every chance I could fall over although I don't do any of the toe pick things generally in the routine so hopefully it'll be alright."

Charlie explained how her journey so far had been special as she discovered new things about herself. She said: "The lessons that I'm learning on the ice, I swear to God, there are parallels that I'm having in my own life. To surrender to the ice, not being resistant, lean into Eric, trust him, don't put blocks up.
