ITV Dancing on Ice's Chris Taylor 'gutted' as he falls during first skate with new partner
Dancing on Ice's Chris Taylor was left 'gutted' as he fell seconds into his skate with his new partner. The Love Island star and Robin Johnstone performed on the live show for the first time together after his former partner Vanessa Bauer revealed she was having to exit the competition due to a nasty injury.
Robin, a former Cirque Du Soleil artist, took over and the pair skated to the Pokemon theme tune, scoring a respectable 28 out of 40 after an initial tumble. The stars were both brought to the floor seconds into their performance as they fell to the ice.
Host Stephen Mulhern told Chris: "This isn't about making up excuses, you've had a tough 24 hours. We mentioned it at the start of the show you lost your partnter Vanessa, Robin's kindly stepped in, you've only had such a short period of time but you look gutted."

"I am gutted. I really wanted to do that justice," Chris admitted. "Vanessa choreographed it, we've been working on it for a week straight.
"it's nothing to do with the situation, I just decked it...but we got up and did the rest."
Judge Christopher Dean urged him not to worry about the fall. He said: "Chris is unique. He's got a unique style.
"It's not the fallm it's how you get up from the fall and you didn't miss a beat." He added: "What you've had to do in the last 24 hours, and the showbiz of the show must go on, you've done that."
Viewers took to X to comment, with one saying: "Not Chris and Robin both falling over in the very first move they did together," adding a crying emoji.
"Chris is at a massive disadvantage, that stop at the beginning was brilliant. Leave the poor bloke alone hes never hurt anyone Jesus," another said.
"Well when you’ve only have a couple of days to rehearse with a new partner I think that was good from Chris despite the fumble at the beginning," a third added.
Dancing on Ice continues next Sunday on ITV1.
