ITV Emmerdale addresses 'very important issue' after fans left baffled
Emmerdale were quick to address a 'very important issue' on Tuesday night after actor Danny Miller left fans baffled with a recent behind-the-scenes video.
Earlier this week, the hit ITV soap shared a fun BTS clip with Danny, 33, who plays Aaron Dingle titled: "Come have a look around Caleb's Depot! #Emmerdale."
However, viewers were left distracted over the way Danny pronounced depot, pointing out that it's pronounced 'dep-oh' and not 'dee-po' as the actor was choosing to say.
Taking to the comments section on the post, one person said: "What’s a DEEPO lol it’s DEP-O", a different account wrote: "We’re not in the States, Danny, sweetheart! It’s Depot - as in DEppo, not Deeeeepo!! " with laughing emojis, another put: "Dee-po? Depp-o?" while a different viewer added: "Danny it's pronounced Depo with a silent T unless your American they call it Deepoo!"

Seeing the funny side, both Danny and Emmerdale addressed the blunder in a hilarious video on Tuesday night titled: "We need to address a very important issue that arose yesterday. #Emmerdale."
In the clip, which has a banner reading: "Breaking news: Emmerdale actor can't say depot", it sees Danny poke fun at his mispronunciation as he goes on to deliberately mispronounce other words. He starts the video with: "Well first and foremost, everyone, I'd just like to say thank you all for coming today. I thought it was about time that we addressed the mispronunciation yesterday of the word depot."
Viewers and Danny's co-stars were quick to comment on the hilarious video as Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle, put a series of laughing emojis, Lawrence Robb, who plays Mack Boyd, wrote: "Very very strong work!" while Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle, added a series of crying laughing emojis.
Meanwhile, one fan wrote: "How can a character and his actor be more different, Danny you are hilarious!", a different person put: "Hilarious. Danny needs comedy show, love ur humour", another said: "Danny is the funniest.. Love him" while a different viewer added: "Brilliant soo funny!"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
