ITV Emmerdale exit 'sealed' after 22 years after chilling forewarning

Emmerdale could see one village favourite leave after 22 years on the hit ITV soap after a chilling forewarning on Thursday's episode.

Soap watchers will recall that Ella Forster made a comeback to the village during the summer after her murderous secret was revealed and she fled, leaving her romantic interest Liam Cavanagh shocked.

Upon her return, Ella discovered she was pregnant, which left Liam completely taken aback. However, in a tragic turn of events during an ultrasound, no foetus was detected.

Ella and Liam briefly reignited their relationship but Liam abruptly ended things, realising he still harboured feelings for his ex, Chas Dingle, whom he had been involved with prior to Ella.

Ella remains hurt and puzzled by the breakup, oblivious to the fact that Liam has secretly moved on with Chas, with the pair keeping their rekindled romance under wraps.

However, earlier this week, Ella started to get suspicious and on Thursday night she decided to do some investigating, where she caught Liam and Chas in the act, resulting in her confronting the duo before storming out.

Prior to exposing Liam and Chas, Ella had decided to get gossip from her best friend Mandy Dingle about Chas, where Mandy spilled all. Ella was baffled over the fact Chas had been married to Mandy's partner Paddy Kirk and asked why they split.

Mandy revealed: "She was having an affair! Planned on running away, taking Eve, leaving Paddy high and dry! Broke his heart! That's the thing about our Chas, she's definitely got form!

"But you thought she would have learnt her lesson because only a couple of months ago she was sticking her tongue down his [Paddy's] throat. Well, mark my words, she goes sniffing around him again... she'll live to regret it!" to which Ella chillingly replied: "I'd feel exactly the same!"

Given Ella's past of killing her best friend as a child and assaulting Wendy Posner over the summer, fans are concerned now she knows Liam has moved on and are worried she could murder Chas especially after her chilling words.

Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "i feel like Ella is defo gonna go full psycho against Chas #emmerdale", a different account wrote: "I dont trust Ella when she finds out about Chas she'll do to her what she did to Wendy #emmerdale" while another added: "We have to remember Ella is a murderer. Could she turn back to be a murderer when she knows about Chas and Liam… #Emmerdale."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
