ITV Emmerdale fans fume at 'terrible decision' as Belle Dingle actress shares major show update
From today, October 14, soap fans will be able to enjoy the newest episodes of Emmerdale and Coronation Street from 7am every morning on ITVX. This means soap fans can watch the latest episodes ahead of them being shown on TV.
According to ITV, they are making this change as it's a "strategy to offer our viewers ultimate choice in how they watch our programmes." The last time fans were able to watch episodes earlier was for this year's Olympics and the Euros. The change is set to be permanent this time.
Posting to their official Instagram account last week, Emmerdale stated: ''From the 14th October Coronation Street and Emmerdale episodes will be coming early to ITVX!'' This morning, Belle Dingle star Eden Taylor-Draper reposted the post onto her own account.

The shakeup has been met with mixed opinions. Commenting on the announcement one fan said: ''I think all spoilers need to be kept to a minimum then as if people are catching up they don't need things being give away by alerts/post popping up when scrolling insta.''
Another fan added: ''Terrible decision. Avoiding spoilers will be impossible now for those of us who can't watch early.'' One fan was fuming with the news, saying: ''No! I like my routine of watching my soaps in the evening after dinner. It’s comforting. Why does everything have to be available immediately!''
However, some fans were pleased with the update. Matthew said: ''Fantastic news can watch them before everyone else does.'' Liam added: ''This is great news! Don't know why, but watching soaps in the morning hits different.''
Emmerdale usually broadcasts at 7:30pm on weekdays. A new soap page has also been announced on ITVX it will include a collection of greatest episodes and a Stars of the Soaps collection too, with dramas like Tina and Bobby starring Michelle Keegan.
