ITV Emmerdale fans left fearing the worst as soap 'confirms' Tom King's next victim

Emmerdale viewers were left gobsmacked as Amelia Spencer, played by Daisy Campbell, confirmed her relationship with local bad boy Tom King (James Chase). Tom has been tormenting his estranged wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), both mentally and physically for months, even leading her to believe that her beloved dog Piper had died.

Belle is now aware of the abuse she's suffering at the hands of Tom but is finding it difficult to get support from her family, friends, and the police. During Tuesday's episode (September 3), Belle was still in shock after Tom threatened to share some personal photos he'd taken from her laptop. Determined to outsmart Tom, Belle sought advice on technology from Ryan Stocks, played by James Moore, pretending she was helping a 'friend'. Ryan's suggestion about erasing data from the blackmailer's devices sparked a daring plan in Belle.

Under the pretence of deception, she stole Nicola King's tablet, played by Nicola Wheeler, and sneaked into her cottage where Tom has been living since their separation.

Caught off guard by his return, Belle had to hide but managed to grab Tom's tablet and escape unnoticed, reports the Express. Later, Tom noticed his tablet was missing and deduced that Belle must have broken in and stolen it.

In a race against time, Belle tried to crack Tom's password, only to be interrupted by an unexpected knock at the door. A search outside left her home unattended, and crafty Tom took the opportunity to retrieve his device using his secret key. Later, in The Woolpack, Belle bravely confronted Tom about the break-in, but onlookers were sceptical of her accusations.

The plot thickened when Amelia revealed Tom's alibi, confirming he was with her at the exact moment Belle claimed he was stealing back his tablet. When Amelia asked if her meddling had jeopardised her relationship, the vet confirmed they had been dating for a brief period.

"Course not, these last couple of weeks have been great," Tom comforted her. However, when she attempted to kiss him in public, Tom resisted and used "not wanting to hurt Belle" as his reason for not returning the public display of affection.

Outside, Belle warned Tom to stay away from Amelia, but he vowed to continue as long as the teenager remained "useful". Tom then threatened Belle - to stop provoking him or he would make her appear insane.

Emmerdale fans were stunned after Tom confirmed his romance with Amelia had been ongoing for the past two weeks, with one viewer posting on X: "Tom and Amelia at it for 2 weeks. Sorry what #Emmerdale."

Another commented: "The fact that even the Tom and Amelia's "relationship" is happening off-screen just makes this storyline so one dimensional #Emmerdale."

A third added: "Ok stop when did this Tom and Amelia travesty happen #Emmerdale", while another echoed: "Since when have Tom and Amelia been having a relationship? #emmerdale."
