ITV Emmerdale fans 'work out' Ross Barton's love interest - and she's already in the village
Emmerdale character Ross Barton’s love interest has been ‘exposed’ ahead of his return - and it’s someone fans know very well.
This month, it was confirmed that bad boy Ross (Michael Parr) is heading back to the famous village six years after he left. Actor Michael first joined the hit ITV soap back in 2013 and he was known for his tumultuous relationships with the likes of Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).
In 2018, Ross left the village with Rebecca White (Emily Head) and her son Sebastian White to start a new life in Liverpool. Ross has often been mentioned off-screen due to his son Moses with Charity (Emma Atkins).
And this month, it was revealed that Michael is returning to the soap later this year to reprise his role as Ross. It has been teased: "With old wounds still to heal, his presence in the village is likely to stir up feelings and ignite some new rivalries."

Now, ahead of his return fans are certain that Ross will be turning up single, with a surprise new love interest ‘sealed.’ Sharing their thoughts, online fans have predicted he will get with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh).
Tracy has been left heartbroken recently after estranged husband Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) left the Dales to start a new life in Scotland. But with Ross’ return imminent, viewers think he and Tracy will strike up a romance.
Writing on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: “Who thinks Ross Barton's first girlfriend will be Tracey?” Someone else added: “I’ve been thinking that too.” A third chimed in and proclaimed: “Quite possibly!” Another penned: “Probably but I hope not, he's too nice for her anyway.”
Taking to Twitter, now X, after the news was announced, actor Michael tweeted: "Hi Twits, it's been a while. Can't believe it's been six years since I was last on set in the Dales. Very excited to be back. Do you think Ross will be a good boy or do you think he's here to cause trouble? Let me know in the comments."
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
