Emmerdale fans believe that a killer character has her future set in stone.

Ruby Fox-Miligan found herself under intense pressure as she tries to hold her nerves after the ITV soap aired the shock twist in Ethan's Anderson's storyline when he died following a sudden collapse at home. The disgraced lawyer was due in court to plead guilty after fleeing the scene of car crash that had Ruby's son Nicky fighting for his life.

In a moment of madness, Ruby decided to give Ethan a taste of his own medicine and knocked him down with her car during the village fete. He seemed to make a sudden recovery and went about his normal life until the tragic turn of events.

Ethan's dad Charles Anderson is adamant that the hit-and-run can't be a coincidence, telling the police as such. His partner Manpreet Sharma previously said that will be for an autopsy to decide.

Ruby is already convinced she's to blame, having confessed as much to her husband Caleb Milligan. She becomes unable to hide her guilt from son Nicky and, determined there will be "no more lies", she confesses to him as well - putting him in an awkward position.

A vengeful Ruby admitted: "I only wanted to shake him up". A disgusted Nicky replied: "You ran him over for God's sake and now he's dead."

Fans of the soap are sure that Ruby's killer secret will be exposed sooner rather than later - as is always the case in soap land. With more people aware of her crime, they believe her days are numbered.

One wrote: "Ruby is playing a dangerous game.". Another predicted: "Ruby is going to crack at some point, just a matter of time."

Elsewhere, Tom King's evil plan that put their family dog Piper at risk of dying appears to pay off when Belle Dingle bursts into their home seconds before the canine was due to get a second injection. Tom starts almost instantly to press his wife for information about what she told people during her short time away at a mental health facility.

Also, Rose starts to put her plan into motion and takes advantage of Kim Tate being away from Home Farm on business.

Meanwhile, Leyla continues to dig into Ella Forster's background and uncovers a shocking truth about the GP receptionist. She uncovers an article from Ella's past and a photo from her handbag which confirms she is not truly who she says she is.
