ITV Emmerdale legend 'gone for good' after 16 years fans fear as she goes 'missing'
Emmerdale fans have shared their worries that a beloved villager has left the ITV soap.
Character Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) first set foot in the Dales back in 2008. Since then, she has been involved in several hard-hitting storylines and comedically fuelled performances.
From drug use to scandalous affairs, Leyla’s time in the famous village has not been short of drama. The character was also famously shot by killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) earlier this year. However, fans of the ITV soap have been left fearing the worst recently. Eagle-eyed viewers have after noticed that Leyla has not made many appearances recently.
The soap has seen an array of different storylines playing out on screen in recent months, from the abuse of Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) to Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) being blackmailed.

However, Leyla has seemed to fail to make an appearance on screen. Sharing their worries on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: “Wonder where Leyla is it's about time she had a new storyline a happy romance for a change.”
A second viewer said: “I was thinking this too, hope she’s not gone for good.” A third penned: “Gone I hope!” Another chimed in: “OMG no can't stand the character at all, haven't missed her one bit..”
A fifth mused: “She might have moved to be closer to David or Jacob.” Someone else penned: “Where is LEYLA???”
Earlier this year, Leyla actress Roxy Shahidi was one of many famous faces who took part in ITV’s Dancing on Ice. Roxy was partnered with Sylvain Longchambon and was fourth to be eliminated. Over the summer, Roxy also starred in the ITV reality show Drama Queens, that followed the lives of several soap stars from Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
