ITV I'm A Celeb Coleen Rooney dealt blow as Maura Higgins' show 'fate sealed' after explicit remark

Coleen Rooney's hopes of winning I'm A Celebrity were dealt a blow tonight after Maura Higgins' Bushtucker Trial. The Croxteth native is one of the favourites to win the competition and hopes to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

The mum-of-four has been one of the most entertaining candidates of the season so far as she used her detective skills to uncover the newcomers were lying about the true nature of the Junkyard Camp. Coleen took a backseat in tonight's show after it started with the Fright Bus.

Love Island star Maura dominated screentime on tonight's show as she was also voted to take on the second challenge, Fright at the End of the Tunnel. The 34-year-old was visibly shaken during the trial as she confronted her fear of spiders.

Maura had to find the secret code words in a tunnel, which needed to be relayed to campmate Jane Moore, who was navigating an underground tunnel. However, viewers were in hysterics as the Loose Women panelist was unable to understand Maura.

The Loose Women panelist took a maverick approach to the phonetic alphabet when she screamed at Jane: "A is for a******e." The contestants went on to win six stars and Maura broke into tears as they made they way back to camp.

Viewers following the show on social media platform X heaped praise on Maura and said she is their pick to win the show as her explicit remark was one of I'm A Celeb's finest ever moments.

Don said: "A for A******E! Maura has to win." Dagi posted: "A for a*****e. Maura must win." Loni said: "Maura’s screaming was different and not annoying because it was clearly genuine.

"She was actually giving it her best shot - gal was going down with them spiders before shouting get me out of here and everyone knew it." Jack said: "Maura for the win man she’s class."

Leanne commented: "Almost cried watching Maura face those spiders. You could see the sheer terror and how much she was shaking, and she still did it! Incredible effort, well done girl!" Jess said: "Maura was so traumatized but pushed through, need her to win"

Morgan commented: "Maura absolutely smashed that trial, she’s slowly becoming my queen of the jungle" Ben added: "Honestly think Maura cemented being Queen of the jungle after today's episode."
