Danny Jones's famous wife
In 2013, Danny revealed his engagement to model and ex-Miss England, Georgia Horsley, after a four-year courtship. They tied the knot the following year in North Yorkshire and welcomed their son Cooper in 2018.
Discussing his proposal in Cyprus, the musician previously shared with Digital Spy: "I just thought, 'What am I waiting for? ' I felt like I wanted to do it and within five days I booked a holiday and did it. I didn't think about anything at all."
Georgia suffers from deafness in her right ear due to suspected meningitis she contracted as a child. She publicly addressed this after failing to hear her number being called during the beauty pageant finale.
She recounted to The Yorkshire Post her late diagnosis of hearing issues, recalling: "I remember telling my mum when I was three that when I lay on my left side in bed I couldn't hear anything. She just thought that I was playing up at bed time."
Discussing her school experiences, she said: "At school it was sometimes difficult. You don't want anything that makes you different but when I struggled to hear I'd get put to the front of the class and I would ask a lot of questions because I hadn't heard everything. There was one girl who would call me 'stupid' because I kept asking questions. But I did have a great group of friends and they'd stick up for me."
On the subject of body image and the Miss World competition, Georgia Horsley, Miss England, shared her surprise during an NBC's Today show interview: "I was a little bit shocked," she said.
"I don't think I'm too thin. I'm happy with the way I am. I probably would have been more hurt if they told me to lose weight, I think." She explained that pageant organizers prefer "their girls to be more voluptuous and womanly and curvy, you know, rather than the stick-thin, size-0 models that you see around."
Danny Jones's 'scary' health condition
In a separate revelation, Danny Jones has spoken about his harrowing experience with a mental health issue that he battled for years - anxiety. He confessed that during panic attacks, he often felt as though he was on the brink of death.
Jones first encountered anxiety at 18, coinciding with his parents' divorce and McFly's rise to fame. The musician confessed in a 2019 interview that he felt his "stability was gone'' and experienced several years of feeling adrift.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, he shared: "I haven't had an attack since 2013, which I'm very thankful about because at times it was so horrible. I experienced claustrophobia, coming out in cold sweats, feeling a band tightening around my chest and worrying I was having a heart attack.
"It's so scary and I've felt like I was dying on occasions. You can't believe your body can do that to you." He continued: "I was also plagued with dark thoughts I couldn't control.
"It was affecting my whole life - my work, health and sleep. I was determined to bury it and say goodbye to it. Admitting to having anxiety was the first big step and bit by bit, I put myself back together. ".
Danny disclosed that he utilised self-help books, therapy, and breathing techniques to conquer his anxiety, alongside enhancing his diet and fitness.
