ITV I'm A Celebrity star 'hanging in balance' and he 'might not be able to take part'
ITV I'm A Celebrity star Alan Halsall's trials on the show are "hanging in the balance" after he suffered an injury that saw him QUIT the show back in 2023. Coronation Street star Alan has played Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap for 26 years.
He was due to go into the jungle in 2023, yet was then forced to undergo surgery instead. Just weeks before heading Down Under, The Sun can exclusively reveal how Alan, 42, suffered another knee injury and was forced to pull out of an event.
A source told the newspaper: “Alan was meant to be taking part in a padel competition but pulled out at the last minute because his knee was playing up. It’s fine now but he just has to be really careful. He might not be able to take part in some of the trials, bosses are currently working out if he will be ruled out of any.

“It’s a huge blow for Alan because he was looking forward to throwing himself into it and now has to be a bit wary.” Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, had an I’m a Celebrity near-miss in 2023. He was rumoured to be a part of the line-up but was reportedly forced to withdraw after suffering a knee injury.
The photo he shared of himself from his hospital bed essentially ruled himself out of appearing. It has been reported by The Sun that the confirmed list of all the celebrities taking part in this year's series of I'm A Celebrity has been revealed, and it includes the likes of Coleen Rooney, Jane Moore and GK Barry.
Rooney, 38, is reportedly appearing on this year's I'm A Celebrity - but it's said to be costing ITV a fair fee. According to The Sun, Coleen is set to be paid more than Nigel Farage was in 2023 for his appearance on the hit show, which was a whopping £1.5million.
