ITV I'm A Celebrity star 'leaving camp' and viewers will see his exit on Friday night
ITV I'm A Celebrity fans have speculated a star is LEAVING the show tonight - after he was swapped out of the Bushtucker Trial. Joel Dommett announced on the extra show that Barry McGuigan will no longer be taking part on the ITV I'm A Celebrity trial this evening.
Joel told Extra Camp viewers: “News just in, people - I can now tell you the camp have managed their minds and now Oti and Melvin will be doing the next trial. They changed from Barry to Melvin. That’s great, we’ll get to see Melvin do a trial!”
Barry’s eyesight began to deteriorate at the age of 39, and he underwent laser eye surgery in 2013. He admitted: “I was struggling to read, present and coach properly. I started wearing glasses and from then my sight continued to deteriorate quickly."

"I can’t be the only one who feels really bad for Barry ... tried his best but he couldn’t see. Call me an empath, but when he said “hopefully I’ll get another chance to do something right” I nearly cried :(," one fan wrote on Reddit.
Another said: “I’m happy with that. They were the last two not to have a trial. Barry can do the next one.” But a third typed: “I reckon producers told Barry he’d have trouble seeing things in the trial so he decided not to do it.”
Others have speculated Barry not doing the trial could cause a lack of airtime, meaning he's likely to "leave". “I’m A Celeb thoughts. Someone is leaving tomorrow (Dean because he hates it there)," a Reddit user has speculated ahead of Friday's episode.
They went on to write online: “Alan absolutely smashed the trial. Last supper as a whole group for the campmates, very sad. Barry decided to volunteer as tribute for the trial.”
