ITV I'm A Celebrity stars face grim trial moments into first episode
The anticipation is nearly over for this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! as the ITV show makes its comeback on Sunday night.
This weekend, ITV audiences will witness a new group of celebrities bid farewell to their comfortable and luxurious lives as they jet off to Australia.
With stars like Danny Jones, Alan Halsall and GK Barry participating in this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! it promises to be an entertaining series from the outset.
However, ITV has revealed that the campmates won't have a smooth transition into the show as they'll face a trial before even setting foot in the jungle.
Oti Mabuse, Tulisa Contostavlos, Dean McCullough, Jane Moore and Danny Jones are the first batch to gather at a lavish poolside villa.
Making a spectacular entrance, Ant and Dec land in one of the five helicopters ready to ferry the celebrities to their new jungle abode. The duo announces the commencement of an epic race that will decide the initial leaders of the camp.

In true I'm A Celebrity fashion, it won't be easy as they'll be skydiving from the helicopters to meet the remaining celebrities and select a partner.
The sequence in which they leap from the helicopter and pick their partner will depend on how quickly they complete a drinking trial.
As Ant and Dec summon two waiters, the stars are presented with cocktails made of blended bull's penis and fish eye, garnished with vomit fruit.
Adding more detail to the challenge, the Geordie duo reveal that once all participants are together, the five pairs will continue the race as a group with the aim of becoming camp leaders, which comes with special privileges.
In the end, it's Danny who finishes his drink first, followed by Tulisa in second place. Jane completes the trial third, Dean fourth and Oti fifth.
Once all the celebrities have regrouped, their teams are confirmed as Danny and Barry, Tulisa and Alan, Jane & GK, Dean & Coleen and Oti and Melvin.
But with everything still up for grabs, who will emerge victorious?
At present, Danny is the favourite to win the series and be crowned King of the Jungle, with Betway offering odds of 9/4.
Mike Reading, spokesperson at Betway, commented: I'm A Celebrity is famous for its eclectic mix of reality stars, soap actors, athletes, and larger-than-life personalities, and this year's lineup seems to be no exception. McFly has a proven track record in reality TV, with bassist Dougie Poynter winning the jungle crown in 2011, and drummer Harry Judd taking home the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball Trophy the same year.
"Both GK Barry and Maura Higgins are known for their humour and outspoken views, and with Maura dating Pete Wicks - could he be celebrating the victory of someone else close to him, after his best mate Sam Thompson was named King of the Jungle last year? ".
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! airs on Sunday at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITVX.
