ITV I'm A Celebrity star's son breaks silence on romance with Maura Higgins after reunion
I'm A Celebrity star Barry McGuigan's son has revealed all about his romance with Maura Higgins.
Former boxer Barry was one of the first stars to enter the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here camp, but soon Maura Higgins made her appearance in the jungle as a late arrival.
Shane McGuigan appeared on Good Morning Britain today to chat about his father opening about his grief, whilst he also discussed if his dad Barry would get along with Maura, despite them never having met.
Speaking to Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold about Barry and Maura meeting for the first time on the show, Shane said: "Maura aswell she's an Irish girl - she's from a small town in Ireland - so they're both from the sticks. They would have been growing up as kids in a small town so there would be similarities there."

Shane felt so proud of his dad opening up about his grief, as he heaped praise on his dad for being so open. "It was five years ago but it feels like yesterday. It doesn't matter if he's doing it in his living room or on national television. My dad's brother Dermot took his own life, so I think Oti could have someone to lean on there," he said.
"I rang mum aswell and she was emotional that he managed to get that comfort in the jungle. It's a very strange situation. It's great that they've all come together to support each other."
Shane is now happily engaged but he first met Maura back in 2018, a year before she headed into the Love Island villa.
The pair met when David Haye and Tony Bellow took on one another, with Maura being a ring girl and Shaan was commentating on the match for a radio show. The pair met there, but it is not known how long they were together for.
Shane and Maura had to do long distance, as she still lived in Ireland at the time whilst Shane was working and living in south west London, with the long distance seemingly difficult for them.
