Dean McCullough knows about the public backlash to his ITV I'm A Celebrity stint and has opened up in the camp, according to Jane Moore. Jane, who became the first contestant eliminated from the show on Friday night, has addressed Dean's true personality.

Discussing the BBC Radio 1 star, Jane - the Sun newspaper journalist and ITV Loose Women panellist - opened up about the secret conversation she had with Dean, who has become a polarising figure since the launch episode two weeks ago, after he worried about being 'too much'.

"And he said to me, 'I sometimes worry that people think I'm too much'," she continued to The Sun newspaper today. "And I said to him, 'You must never feel that. That's their problem, not yours'. He's he's a really special person, Dean."

Greg James, who presents the coveted weekday Breakfast show slot, shared his thoughts from the incident with his listeners after the weekend’s coverage had aired and he had just six words of advice for Dean. After Dean clashed with Alan Halsall, Greg - who is a colleague of Dean - fumed: "Don't have a go at Tyrone."

"It's like having a go at Paddington, one of the most beloved creations ever. He's got plenty of time to redeem himself though," he said. "I love a bit of tension on telly, and it was between Dean McCullough and Alan Halsall, Tyrone from Coronation Street," he said.

"This is the thing, tempers are always going to fray, it's difficult isn't it? That's the problem with that show, you're like, you get five days in, you get hungry, you get a bit tired and then suddenly, before you know it, you're having a go at Tyrone."

I'm A Celebrity continues to air each and every night from 9pm on ITV 1.
