ITV I'm A Celebrity's Dec issues apology and quick clarification after leaving Ant mortified
ITV I'm A Celebrity star Declan Donnelly has been forced to apologise and issue a quick clarification after leaving co-star Ant McPartlin mortified. Appearing on the show's spin-off segment, host Joel Dommett sparked a frenzy by teeing Dec up for a cheeky comment last night.
ITV The Masked Singer and The Masked Dancer host Joel asked the Geordie duo how this series is different from the first season of the show 20 years ago. Ant said: "Well, it wasn't here; it was up in Northern Australia near Cairns, so it was a lot hotter."
Dec replied: "And it was a really thick bush," before the whole studio erupted into giggles at the shock innuendo. He clarified: "Thick jungle, thick jungle," while Joel - who was hosting Unpacked - joked: "That's all we have time for."

"Yeah, yeah, it was a thick, thick bush," laughed Ant. Joined on the sofa by Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers, Ant added: "I am so sorry, Kemi," as she joked: "Don't worry, it has just reminded me to get a wax when I get home."
Ant and Dec are back hosting the show this year, with episodes airing each night from 9pm. Earlier this week, Dec explained that the campers would end up in teams and each team would have a cash card that they would have to use to pay for everything. It's thought the stars will be divided into teams following the upcoming Rank Bank Bushtucker trial.
"They are getting split into three teams of four and they are coming down to the Rank Bank," Donnelly said. "The first three are coming to play against each other to win cash or to win money to put on..." "A cash card!" his co-host Ant announced. Dec said: "Each team is getting one of these, which is a cash card. Everything in camp will cost them from here on in."
"Essentials or any treats or anything, they have got to pay for it with money that they have put on the cash card," said Ant. "They are going to have to pay for everything," added Dec. "So like, if you want to use the dunny that's going to cost you."
Host Joel then quipped that the jungle was "going cashless" at last.
