ITV James Martin Saturday Morning viewers have hit out at a "car crash" interview as the show turned to chaos on Saturday morning. James was interviewing comedian Lucy Beaumont when fans took issue with the interview, branding it "awful".

On social media site X, which was formerly Twitter, ITV fans felt compelled to speak out and said: "Can't stand these interviews with comedians where the comedian gives the host a list of questions they have to ask them so they can churn out their rehearsed jokes #JamesMartinsSaturdayMorning #JamesMartin "

Another said: "Is it me or is this turning in to a car crash ?" Another wrote on the platform: "If I were a chef invited onto James Martin's cooking show to make a dish, i'd bung a couple of baked tatties in the oven then jump onto his couch for a kip."

On its website, the show promotes its recipes through pictures, writing today: "Get ready for an aubergine dish that’s twice as nice! Aubergine Two Ways with an Arrabbiata Sauce - one topped with gooey Parmesan, mozzarella, and fresh basil, and the other paired with sweet sultanas and crunchy pine nuts for a delicious twist."

In a second tweet, it said: "Cromer Crab on Toast with Bloody Mary Sauce from @ChefRonnieM! Packed with flavoursome ingredients, stunning fresh crab and served on top of a slice of sourdough, this would make a beautiful starter or a lovely light lunch."

"There's suddenly a chill in the air and it's time to reach for classic autumnal recipes...like this Chicken and Mushroom Pie! This hearty dish brings together tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and a creamy sauce, all tucked beneath a golden pastry," another read.
