Concerns were raised on ITVs cooking show 'James Martin's Saturday Morning' when viewers, along with guests Suzi Perry and chefs Romy Gill and Paul Foster, observed the presenter, James Martin, coughing off-screen. In a lively kitchen atmosphere during todays episode (Saturday, September 14), the studio was filled with an esteemed lineup.

Among them was First Dates mixologist Merlin Griffiths, who had joined forces with Suzi Perry, renowned for her work on The Gadget Show and Moto GP, in an exciting cocktail mixing session. With aims to give classic cocktails a twist by incorporating wild fruits, they embarked on creating sumptuous Raspberry Appletinis.

However, as Merlin demonstrated his mixology flair and introduced the various ingredients, the atmosphere took a turn when James was heard coughing after tasting one particularly potent concoction.

A visibly concerned Suzi Perry turned towards James querying, "Are you alright James?" Admitting to his little mishap, James replied: "I just downed that bit (of drink) over there! ", reports the Mirror.

Another cough ensued from James while Merlin and Suzie chuckled alongside their fellow guests, before James promptly reassured both the studio and at-home audience, stating: "I was trying to do that off camera and just finish it off."

"Yeah that's lovely, that is," he added, appreciating the quality of the drink amidst the commotion.

The segment witnessed another unintended moment when the blender roared into action as Suzi fed apples into it, causing everyone to react with surprise. Amidst the loud grinding noise, a quick-witted Suzi apologized: "Oh - excuse me".

But James was quick to comfort her with a light-hearted remark: "It's alright, it's working. That was the machine", to which Suzi responded with laughter, curtly saying, "It's not me! ".

While the blender whirred away, grinding apples to a pulp, Suzi was given the thumbs up by Merlin and James for her adept approach to apple-grinding.

The group demonstrated the art of mixing a Raspberry Appletini, a non-alcoholic British Bambini, and a Blackberry Calpis, delighting in the tantalising tastes. With a nod towards Merlin, James Martin exclaimed: "That is absolutely fantastic. That man is a genius."
