ITV Loose Women star halts show for 'moment of reflection' as she shares 'sad news'
Loose Women's Charlene White brought the show to a sudden halt as she decided to take a 'moment' to share some 'very sad news'.
During Thursday's episode of the ITV hit show, viewers saw Charlene and her co-panellists, including Linda Robson, Penny Lancaster, and Denise Welch, delve into the topic of keeping kitchens tidy.
In a surprise move that caught everyone off-guard, the 44 year old announcer started by declaring: "OK we are going to have a bit of a moment of reflection right now, I have some sad news ladies and gentleman."
Trying to keep the mood light, she went on to reveal: "It's for those of you who love a food storage container. Tupperware has gone bust, they have been a kitchen staple for years."
The studio erupted in laughter when she turned towards her fellow panellist Linda and humorously questioned: "Are you crying?" Linda was seen with her face buried in her hands as she admitted: "Yeah," reports the Mirror.

Charlene went on: "They have been a kitchen staple since 1946 and even the late Queen was a fan so Penny are you going to miss them?"
When the conversation moved to Penny, she began: "It's all about organising and demonstrating how to make our living spaces more organised and pretty and all that so it does seem a shame but maybe it's the plastic they produced that wasn't toxic free."
Taking advantage of the lighter topic, Charlene interjected with a quip: "It is a shame and I feel like most of those Tupperware containers are in Penny's pantry."
She then queried: "Can we get an insight?" A snapshot of Penny's kitchen appeared on the screen, drawing admiration as Denise exclaimed: "Wow look at that. It looks like Selfridges."
Penny discussed the inspiration for her kitchen design, sharing: "I was inspired by Rod's older daughter Kimberly. During lock down she had an idea and this is some of her work."
She elaborated: "She goes into some luxury homes and organises everyone's pantry's and wardrobes and I was inspired by her when I did my new kitchen."
Denise humorously remarked: "When I grow up I want to be Penny." Prompting laughter as an image of Denise's own kitchen showed up, starkly contrasting with Penny's.
She added: "See I have a bit of cereal and some old raisins and I keep thinking I need to get some clips because they are just folded over and shoved in the corner but I aspire to be like Penny."
Loose Women airs from 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX
